Laberinto Sauvignon Blanc 2017

In 1993 Rafael Tirado planted his first vineyards and built his first winery in Colbun, by a lake in a remote corner of the Maule Valley. His vineyards only encompass 18 hectares of his 80-hectare property and are planted at an altitude of 1800 feet. The soils are composed of granite and volcanic ash, and his vines are planted in multiple row orientations, eventually shaping a section as a labyrinth (laberinto), hence the name of the wines and the drawings on the labels. This wine is one of if not the best sauvignon blanc coming out of Chile. This wine undergoes fermentation and maturation in stainless steel and is only aged for 3 months before bottling and release. This results in a super fresh and bright wine that is packed with citrus and mineral notes. This wine is light bodied and packs a long finish. At this price point and drinkability, it is our go to patio pounder.
